Our School Song
As part of bringing our Christian vision to life, our children were given the opportunity to create something truly special that would become a lasting legacy for future generations.
Working together, our pupils wrote the lyrics for our very own Wootton St Andrew’s School Song, inspired by our Christian vision and the values of Love, Joy, Courage and Trust. The words reflect what it means to belong to our school community and celebrate our shared journey of learning, faith and friendship.
The children’s words were then brought to life by internationally renowned saxophonist Snake Davis, who generously gave his time and musical expertise to compose and arrange the music. Together, the song captures the heart of our school and what it means to let our light shine.
In July 2026, our pupils had the unforgettable opportunity to professionally record the song inside the beautiful surroundings of St Andrew’s Church. Recording the song within our parish church was a fitting celebration of the strong partnership between our school and church, further strengthening the connection between our Christian vision, our community and our shared heritage.
Today, our school song forms an important part of school life. It is sung regularly during collective worship, celebrations and special events, reminding us that we are all rooted in the Wootton Way, journeying together in the light of Love, Joy, Courage and Trust.
It serves as a lasting expression of our vision and ensures that the voices of our children will continue to inspire future generations of Wootton pupils.
