This evening, Mrs Radge had the honour of attending the Headteachers’ Commissioning Service and Evensong at the beautiful Lincoln Cathedral, alongside nine other headteachers who have been appointed over the past year within the Diocese of Lincoln.
During this special service, overseen by the Bishop of Grimsby, Mrs Radge made a promise to the children and families of Wootton to uphold the values of the Church of England and to lead with faith, compassion and integrity.
She also made a commitment to the work ahead, pledging to serve the school and its community faithfully, prayerfully and with a spirit of respect for all of God’s children.
A truly special and meaningful occasion, marking a commitment to our school, our community and the values that guide us.
🔎 A Tudor mystery to solve! 🎶
Today, our Year 5 and 6 pupils joined an online session with Historic Royal Palaces, bringing their Tudor learning to life.
Although we may not have been able to journey to Hampton Court Palace, the experts brought the palace — and its fascinating history — right into our classroom!
The children became history detectives, investigating the mystery surrounding Henry VIII’s first Black musician, following clues and discovering more about the often-overlooked people who were part of Tudor history.
A fantastic opportunity to deepen their learning, ask questions and uncover a fascinating piece of history for themselves!
World Smile Day! 😊
Today we are celebrating the power of a smile with a kind word or gesture to brighten someone’s day.
Mrs Morgan, well-being governor, greeted all children this morning with a sticker and a smile as they entered school!
A huge thank you for the kind and generous donations made today at our Harvest Service. It was wonderful to see our school community coming together to celebrate Harvest.
A special thank you to the Wootton Worship Club for planning and helping to deliver our Harvest Service. We are so proud of the children for the time, thought and enthusiasm they put into making it such a special occasion.
Wootton St Andrew’s Church would also like to warmly welcome you to their Harvest Service this coming Sunday morning along with an auction of the food donations on Monday evening.
