300 Years of Wootton St Andrew's
In 2028, Wootton St Andrew’s Church of England (VA) Primary School will celebrate an extraordinary milestone—300 years of educating the children of Wootton and the surrounding area.
Few schools can trace their history back to 1728. Over three centuries, our school has welcomed countless pupils, adapted to changing times and remained an important part of village life.
This anniversary gives us a wonderful opportunity to reflect on our shared history and celebrate the people who have shaped the school through the generations.
As we prepare for our tercentenary celebrations, we are bringing together photographs, memories, artefacts and stories that capture life at Wootton St Andrew’s throughout the years. We are asking you to share any photographs and memories of the school throughout the years. Please contact the school office if you do have anything to share with us.
We know that our history lives not only in records and photographs, but also in the experiences of former pupils, parents, teachers, governors and members of the wider community.
Many families have a connection with the school that spans several generations, making this anniversary a celebration of shared memories as much as school history.
As we approach 2028, we look forward to sharing more of our history and celebrating the people who have helped make Wootton St Andrew’s such a special place.
Whether you are a current pupil, parent, former student, past member of staff, governor or friend of the school, you are part of our story.
Together, we will celebrate 300 years of learning, achievement, faith and community—and look forward to the chapters still to come.
